Another summer has come to a close. As a mom and entrepreneur, this is the first summer in four years where I’ve consciously taken a step back from work to be more present with my three young daughters.
The past four summers have been filled with product development, manufacturing, launching, and growing Lunnie. It’s been exhilarating, but also exhausting trying to build a business between nap times, evenings, and a patchwork of babysitters.
This summer marked a milestone of Lunnie finally being in a place where I can take a step back and the business continues to run. The days of running around town fit testing the bra and packing orders from my daughters’ playroom are in the past.
As an entrepreneur who has been going 100 mph for several years, I needed this for myself and my girls. A big reason I created this business was so I could have control over my own schedule. So I finally took a boss move and focused on summer with my girls. And it was beautiful.
Of course, I still worked to keep the business moving along in a steady state. But not having to a major product launch or milestone to race towards felt amazing. I feel refreshed and ready to jump back into the biz this fall with new ideas, now that my girls are in school. I’m grateful to have this privilege as I recognize many moms don’t have the choice.
So thank you Lunnie Hive for continuing to support my business, even if I’ve been a little quieter the past few months. It means the world that YOU have made my nursing bra dream come true!
