The most surprising thing about being a first-time mom is I was shocked at the amount of laundry that had to be done for our baby and me! I think we went through an average of three outfits per day in the first month.
My expectation vs. experience breastfeeding was I expected breastfeeding to be challenging and it certainly was the first time around. After the many hours logged nursing my firstborn, nursing my second child was a smooth and natural process.
The best pieces of advice about motherhood is 1) Ask for help when you need it. 2) Just savor it.
