The most surprising thing about being a first-time mom is how all consuming it is physically AND mentally in the most beautifully chaotic way.

My expectation vs. experience breastfeeding was I thought it would be more natural that first week. I thought it would be more intuitive. I thought he would just latch. We had to work at latching, work at my milk coming in, work at positioning. It because a full time job. I never would have thought it would feel so foreign and hard.

The best piece of advice about motherhood is ask for help. Find and build your village. You don't have to do it alone.

Favorite resources you recommend to fellow postpartum moms? I loved the book Cherish the First Six Weeks!
